Advocacy for civil invalids in South Tyrol

ANMIC South Tyrol accompanied me through my civil invalidity: besides the legal matters, such as the application to increase my degree of civil invalidity or the application for Law 104/92 on leave from work, it was a great relief for me to know that I was not on my own in this situation. ANMIC South Tyrol always listened to me actively and not only advised me, but supported me in an empathetic and appreciative way. That is by no means something to be taken for granted!

ANMIC South Tyrol has helped me with several matters. It is very reassuring to know that you are supported and can always ask questions when it comes to civil invalidity, earned income, unemployment benefits or the contribution for voluntary employment. So that I can claim my rights as a civil invalid, ANMIC South Tyrol always informs me whenever a law concerning civil invalids changes.

ANMIC South Tyrol has very friendly and helpful staff who help you on every occasion. I was immediately advised and supported regarding the civil invalidity pension. Through the association magazine and the pocket calendar I always keep informed about news and forms of assistance that can be claimed.

I took part in a meeting organised by ANMIC South Tyrol where all my rights were explained to me. Since then the association has accompanied me. Together with Fernanda I take part in the association's activities. We always look forward to the association magazine, which keeps us up to date on civil invalidity and the rights of civil invalids.

With everything. I had a flat where damp and mould had formed due to constant burst pipes. ANMIC South Tyrol helped me regarding the uninhabitability, with the application for a social housing unit and with the correspondence with the landlord and the insurance company.

It is a great help that such an association exists, one that constantly keeps its members informed about all the important topics. I explained my particular situation to ANMIC South Tyrol. They helped me with the applications for the aggravation of my civil invalidity, free use of public transport in South Tyrol, the removal of architectural barriers, Law 104/92 and the European disabled parking permit. I was never sent from one office to another.

I'm glad that ANMIC exists in South Tyrol too. They provide regular information and also tell me about my rights as a civil invalid by phone. When I need application forms, they send them to me by e-mail.

Besides answering open questions about civil invalidity, ANMIC South Tyrol helped me find a job: the association organised a free administration course through which I was able to retrain. It then published a job advertisement from Volta AG in its association magazine. Since this job was exactly right for me, I applied for it. Now I have the job and I am overjoyed!

ANMIC South Tyrol was the first association to contact us and the one we joined immediately. Thanks to the staff and also to the magazine, we found our way through the jungle of rights and laws surrounding the topic of disability. It is also good to have a plan B: to know whom to turn to who has more experience, also to obtain information about civil invalidity.

ANMIC South Tyrol has accompanied and advised me for many years. In 2020 I was offered the chance to take part in an accounting course for civil invalids seeking work, which the association had organised. After many months of training, today I owe ANMIC South Tyrol not only my job at the company “Finstral”, but also the friendships I made there. I am very grateful to ANMIC South Tyrol for this!

ANMIC South Tyrol has helped and supported me in every situation in life. It is reassuring for me and my parents to know where we can turn whenever questions arise regarding civil invalidity, work, the pension fund and housing.

I am very grateful to President Ottone Nigro. Through his dedication he improved my quality of life by helping me obtain a comfortable special electric wheelchair with many extras. We always wrote letters to each other.

From the very beginning of my health problems I received excellent advice and support. For example with the first application for recognition of civil invalidity, then the application for reassessment, the application for the South Tyrol Pass free and the disabled parking permit, as well as for the mask against sleep apnea so that I can sleep through the night.

When I was 12 years old, ANMIC South Tyrol helped me and my family to apply for the recognition of civil invalidity and Law 104. But even more importantly, thanks to ANMIC South Tyrol I know that I am not alone and that there are other people who, like me, have a disability. That gives me the courage to carry on.

ANMIC South Tyrol was able to help me in several cases: from organising the medical examinations for the recognition of civil invalidity, to granting the disabled parking permit, right through to issuing the documents for the tax-reduced purchase of a car.

When I was looking for work after the death of my husband, ANMIC South Tyrol took me on as a community service worker in their team. Since then I have not only carried out meaningful social work, but have also been able to visit many places in South Tyrol: for example during the ANMIC South Tyrol information days, which I looked after in the various provincial hospitals and where I met many different people. To this day it gives me great joy to support ANMIC South Tyrol in its various activities.

I've been able to learn a lot about the current laws. The magazine always contains everything that matters. ANMIC South Tyrol has helped me to be who I am and to live the way I do today. I received the South Tyrol Pass free and use it very often, as it lets me travel throughout South Tyrol free of charge.
